Medure Development LLC will be hosting an official groundbreaking ceremony for Millennium Technology Park’s inaugural tenant, Steelite International USA, on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the junction of Route 60 and Pulaski Road, the future site of the 62,000 square foot facility projected to create 40-50 new jobs for the New Castle, PA. area.

After two years of negotiations with Steelite International USA, the leading producer of tabletop products for the restaurant foodservice industry, Angelo Medure, president and CEO of Medure Development, is proud to welcome its first tenant to Lawrence County’s historic business development project, Millennium Technology Park.

Scheduled dignitaries who will join Steelite International USA, Lawrence County Economic Development Corporation and Medure Development in launching the construction of the new nterfacility include from the Governor’s office, Dennis Yablonsky, Secretary of the PA. Dept. of Community and Economic Development; John Miles, President of Steelite International USA; Robert DelSignore, Chairman of the Lawrence County Economic Development Corporation Board; and Angelo Medure, President &CEO of Medure Development LLC.

The ceremony will also serve as the first official announcement of Steelite’s plans to move its main headquarters for North America, Latin America and the Caribbean to the Millennium Park site. The company plans a phased move to the facility beginning the summer of 2007 according to Steelite International USA president, John D. Miles.

Miles attributes explosive growth over the last decade as necessitating the relocation. “In recent years, it became evident that we needed to upgrade and expand our facilities to accommodate both our current business and future growth. In addition to meeting all our requirements for size and location, Millennium Technology Park’s status as a foreign trade zone was a critical decision factor for us as we expand our business.”

The new space will comprise a 50,000-square-foot distribution warehouse, a 12,000-square-foot administration office and product showroom. Plus, a 10,000 square foot concrete pad will be added for projected expansion expected to begin in the near future. The new site will be home to Steelite’s corporate offices, sales and marketing divisions, operations team and a full-service customer service department.

“We appreciate all the assistance and support that the Lawrence County Economic Development Corporation, its Executive Director, Linda Nitch, and its Board Chairman, Robert Del Signore, have been for this project and all the individuals who have worked so hard to get us here and offered Steelite and its employees such a warm welcome,” said Miles. “In particular, we would like to express our gratitude to Medure Development LLC, who is the general contractor and who was very instrumental in securing all the necessary permits to begin construction.”

About Millennium Technology Park

The Lawrence County Economic Development Corporation (LCEDC) initiated the development of the Millennium Technology Park to create new, advanced job opportunities by providing small to large, forward-thinking companies with pre-permitted, shovel-ready sites. The LCEDC envisions the final development to involve a rich blend of manufacturing, research and development, warehouse and distribution and office headquarters. New companies considering the location or relocation of their operations here can choose from a number of variously sized lots within a campus-like setting to build their own facility or choose from a number of build-to-suit options available through local developers. As a further incentive, a majority of the Millennium Technology Park has been designated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Keystone Opportunity Zone site offering local and state tax abatement through December 31, 2006, and, in addition, a portion of the Park will be designated a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) area.
